Ruth Keri to Receive Professorship in Cancer Research; Join in the Celebration!
Some things are fun in the academic world, but perhaps few are as satisfying as the recognition of a colleague's accomplishments and outlook through the award of an endowed chair.
Tomorrow, August 11 at 4:30p in the Wolstein Research Building Auditorium, Ruth Keri, PhD will be so-bestowed as the recipient of the Inaugural Arline H. and Curtis F. Garvin, MD and
Constance C. Frackelton Professor of Cancer Research by Pam Davis, MD, PhD, Dean of the CWRU School of Medicine (SOM).
Ruth, Vice Chair of Pharmacology and Associate Director for Basic Research of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, has been at CWRU School of Medicine for her entire academic career, hitting every milestone and award along the way. Her leadership of the basic science efforts and programs of the Cancer Center have helped us galvanize all elements of cancer research across our campuses. Her unstoppable enthusiasm and enlightened approach has brought together many disparate elements into coordinated efforts in translational research.
But rather than letting me say it, come listen to Dean Davis and Ruth herself, and join in the celebration afterwards! See you tomorrow at 4:30 in the Wolstein Research Building Auditorium.
