TRAINING IN COMPUTATIONAL GENOMIC EPIDEMIOLOGY OF CANCER

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates need to have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree, strong quantitative skills and an interest in a career in genetics research. Candidates need to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Please submit the following set of documents by March 30, 2008 (but the earlier, the better) for the program starting August 1, 2008:

1. A recent Curriculum Vitae including previous research experience, both didactic and practical.
2. A personal statement describing the reason for seeking postdoctoral research training, specific research interests, and career plans.
3. At least 3 letters of recommendation, including one either from the doctoral committee chair/advisor or past and current supervisors. The recommendation letters need to address the applicant's interest and/or ability in 4 areas: computation, genome, cancer and epidemiology, and the applicant's abilities of becoming an independent researcher in these areas.
4. Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card).
